In last years, the Tango dance has strongly evolved on the mechanical techniques, achieving and perfecting movements such as boleos, ganchos, the walk, among others...
This mechanical layer is extremely important and necessary for every dancer, but we should not leave aside other important layers such as the body perception, intuition, sensory, musicality, tango orchestra´s intension through the years and the musical and instrumental interpretation.
After the investigation and compilation of historical material, we have developed audiovisual elements that helps understand the essence and importance of these layers in the tango dance, facilitating their understanding and development.
Through workshops, our goal is to help the dancers to appropriate these layers, to complement their movements, achieving authenticity and personality in their dance.
That said I have taken many tango classes, but the last class with these instructors exceeded my expectations by far and I learned more in an hour and a half than I have in 6 to 8 other classes with other instructors.
Thank you for sending the workshop material. I will read it with great care. I enjoyed every second of your workshop, it was such a beautiful and wonderful experience for me. Thanks again, it is such a pleasure knowing you....and please ...never change the way you are :-)
Great class with great instructors. The information presented would help any style of dance and is so helpfully in growing the diversity of our Dance community. It's not often we get this level of instruction in our area and I would highly recommend that the dance community supports these type of events in the future. Big props to Matt and Caleb for this opportunity!
